One of our core principles is to maximise our impact with every cent spent. For this reason, we started out with microloans, which are one of the best ways to lift families out of poverty in terms of impact-per-cent-spent. Through platforms such as Kiva we are able to provide microloans to families around the world at no cost and without charging interest. However, when we started looking into other forms of ending poverty and fighting climate change, we realised that we lacked the scale required to maximise our impact, and thus we needed to form partnerships with exceptional not-for-profits. We selected the The Against Malaria Foundation and the Rainforest Trust based on our own research and experience, as well as stellar reviews from services like charitynavigator.org and givewell.org that monitor the efficacy of different charities.
